Rakhi in limelight again

As per the crunchy-munchy gossip, it has been heard that a couple of months after Rakhi Sawant was accused of abetting to suicide committed by a man, the actress has once again come under the scanner. This time Rakhi Sawant has been caught for causing a man to become an alcoholic and go into depression.


Is this what we call Rakhi Ka Insaaf where she taunted the two men, resulting in dire consequences. A small-time actor Abhay Ashiyana has accused Rakhi Sawant for humiliating him when he appeared on her show last week. The actor was drunk and even met with an accident on the streets of Mumbai. The police said 53 - year-old Ashiyana was beaten up and robbed of his belongings and even lost about Rs 55K before he was brought to the station. The item girl turned queen of justice had earlier been accused of abetment to suicide when Jhansi resident Laxman committed suicide after appearing on her show where she called him impotent on national television. An FIR was lodged against Sawant by Laxman's mother.

8 witnesses were examined

Eight witnesses were reportedly examined in connection with a case filed against item girl Rakhi Sawant in a local court. Additional chief judicial magistrate Jotsha Singh had earlier scheduled December 16 as the date of hearing in the case.


Narendra Singh had filed a case in the local court claiming that his wife was wrongly presented as married to some other man in one of the episodes of Rakhi Ka Insaaf that is hosted by Rakhi Sawant. Narendra filed the case even on the Imagine show bosses and Dev Bhardwaj, the man shown as his wife Sunita Singh's husband. Rakhi Ka Insaaf, however, which recently shifted its airing time from 10 pm to 11 pm following an Iand B ministry directive, is currently entangled in a case of abetment to suicide.

Kiran Rao inspired by Rakhi

Aamir Khan's talented wife Kiran Rao is now showing her interest in the small screen. No, Kiran is not going to be a judge or a host of a show, but she has decided to explore the world of Indian reality shows, that have made stars like Rakhi sawant, to make a movie on it.


The idea of making a movie took birth from the incident when a man from Jhansi committed suicide after he was said impotent by our dear Rakhi Sawant on her show ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’. There is no denying that the item girl owes her career and fame to reality shows, and there are many who are spellbound about participating in these reality shows so that they also have their share of fame on television. Kiran Rao’s upcoming film Dhobi Ghaat is complete and is ready to hit the big screens on February 11,2011. The first-time filmmaker has already earned the name of being a sensitive, realistic director. The film that Kiran Rao has in her mind will also try to showcase the interpersonal relationships between the participants on the reality shows and how their emotions are often compromised with.

Stay on Rakhi's arrest

The Allahabad High Court on Friday stayed the arrest of actress Rakhi Sawant on the charge of a man committing suicide who participated in a TV reality show hosted by her.


The order was passed a Division Bench comprising Justice Imtiyaz Murtaza and Justice Ram Autar Singh on a writ petition filed by Rakhi Sawant who had challenged the FIR lodged at Prem Nagar police station of Jhansi by one Savitri Devi whose son Laxman had taken part in the TV show hosted by the actress and died a few weeks later. The court, while granting the stay on Rakhi Sawant's arrest, asked the state government to file its counter affidavit within four weeks. The FIR alleged Laxman had visited Mumbai to take part in the TV show with the hope that it would help him resolve his estrangement with his wife.

No breather for Rakhi

Rakhi Sawant who is in news everytime for so many reasons is again trapped in trouble with the latest show Rakhi Ka Insaaf. No relief for bollywood’s item girl Rakhi Sawant as Allahabad high Court on Wednesday denied to stay the arrest warrant against the controversial queen in connection with the Lakshman death case.

The High Court has fixed December 10, 2010 as the next hearing of the case. Rakhi Sawant, who host the TV reality show ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’, had called a participant Lakshman Prasad Ahirwar impotent in one of the episodes. Following the incident, Lakshman was so much so mentally haressed that he ended his life. Lakshman and his wife Vineeta had approached the show Rakhi Ka Insaaf seeking solution to their troubled marriage.

Rakhi Sawant humilated Lakshman in the entire show and announced the verdict in favour of his wife Vineeta. Unable to bear the embarrassment, Lakshman went into deep depression and even stopped eating food. His family members had lodged a complaint with the police mentioning that humiliation caused by Rakhi Sawant dragged Lakshman to death.

Rakhi's case postponed

Allahabad high court has postponed the case filed against item girl Rakhi Sawant for one day. As per the case Rakhi Sawant’s had called an participant Laxman as naamard meaning impotent. The episode was telecasted on October 23,2010 on NDTV Imagine.


Lakshman Prasad Ahirwar, 24 years old, was so much so disturbed with this as his neighbours too teased him calling him impotent. He gave up food and later fell ill and died in a hospital . On November 29, the court had slammed the show of ethical misconduct. The words used by Rakhi Sawant…are highly offensive, uncivil and against all ethical norms. In "Rakhi Ka Insaaf" that was telecasted on 13 November was a tremendous performance. It showcased a second marriage on reality season. Bhojpuri actor Dev Bhardwaj tied another actress Sunita Singh.

If the show is not scripted, then we can say that Rakhi Sawant has put up an amazing performance. The case is about Dev Bhardwaj putting sindoor on Sunita Singh’s Maang at the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. Sunita Singh however was not ready to accept it as a marriage, as she wanted proper rituals to be followed and get introduced to his parents etc.

Case filed against Rakhi-Rahul- K.S. Sudarshan

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Digvijay Singh, former RSS chief K.S. Sudarshan and the beautiful controversy queen Rakhi Sawant have one thing in common. They have all been dragged to court in Madhya Pradesh. Cases were filed against the two Congress leaders as they compared the Hindu rightwing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) with the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Indore on last Tuesday.

RSS activist Mukesh Pedwa filed a case under Section 500 and 153 of the Indian Penal Code in the court of first class judicial magistrate D.K. Singh against the Congress leaders. The court fixed November 22, 2010 as the date of hearing. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi mentioned at a press conference in Bhopal on October 5 that he know only that both SIMI and RSS are over-enthusiastic and hold fundamentalist views. Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh asserted at a seminar November 12,2010 in Nagpur that take the example of the Lashkar-e-Taiba.

When it was banned, it floated another organisation called the Jamat-ud-Dawa, and continued to operate under a different name. Similarly, a ban on the RSS is no solution. A case was also filed against television actress Rakhi Sawant, her show Rakhi Ka Insaaf and Imagine TV in Indore. Kishore Murmat petitioned the court of first class judicial magistrate Bhupender Nakwal. November 25,2010 was fixed as the date of hearing.

Rakhi Sawant Likely To Go To Jail?

Rakhi Sawant is making it big in news headlines once again after a man that was supposedly insulted by her decided to end his own life and now causing so much trouble for the actress. The insulting incident happened allegedly on her television show Rakhi Ka Insaaf and the guy was named Laxman Prasad.


The family of Laxman Prasad is now turning to the actress as the person responsible for his death. The family came from the city of Jhansi. They filed charges against the actress for using indecent words directed to the man and that she allegedly also called him impotent when the man appeared on her show.
The family also added that they expected Rakhi’s show to be similar to that of another show hosted by former police officer Kiran Bedi. That show showcases small cases that must be solved without causing disrespect to other parties. The show is said to not only help solve many cases well but have also saved people from filing charges in court.

Laxman’s mother said: "Upset over the remarks, my son went into acute depression and even stopped eating food… He gradually became weak and frail and ultimately died yesterday… No one other than Rakhi Sawant is responsible for the untimely death of my son," The family members said that Prasad and his wife Vineeta and her family appeared on the show in which Rakhi Sawant plays the role of a judge. She announces the verdict of domestic violence cases, marital discord and others.

Prasad and Vineeta were married February of this year and after a month of marriage, they have had problems that caused them to live separately. Prasad died on November 10. Police inspector A.K. Singh said: "Acting on the complaint made by Lakshman’s family, we have booked Rakhi Sawant under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 306 (Abetment to Suicide) and 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace),"
The family added that they were only after the dispute between the couple being settled and had they known that this would be the cause of the death of their family member, they would not have let it happen. The actress’s camp is still mum on the issue.
