Rakhi’s item song in KRAZZY 4!!!

Rakhi Sawant made sure that Irrfan Khan is smitten by her charms. And she even teased him by asking a question - 'Dekhta Hai Tu Kya'!Well, that's the title of the song from the film KRAZZY 4 where Rakhi has a special song and dance appearance. A raunchy number which has been set in the same mode as 'Mungda Mungda' [INKAAR] which was picturised on Helen.

The song was set in a down-market bar where Rakhi gyrates amidst a crowd of men, young and old alike. Irrfan Khan, who is the only suited-booted male in the entire crowd is shown to be looking for something in particular throughout this Rajesh Roshan composed song.

Incidentally 'Mungda Mungda' too was composed by Rajesh Roshan. Now with this raunchy number, Rakhi Sawant carried forward her item girl image and targetted not-so-usual-suspect Irrfan Khan to get attracted to her!!! 'Dekhta Hai Tu Kya' was one of the three item songs in this Rakesh Roshan vie production.The movie had two more item songs picturized on Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan.

When Rakhi guised as tigress!!!

After famous actresses like Shilpa Shetty and Yana Gupta did it, how could publicity hungry Rakhi Sawant be left out. So Ms.Sawant got inclined to join a PETA campaign against cruelty to animals. Rakhi Sawant appeared in the make up of a tigress in a cage to spread the message of stopping cruelty on animals at circuses.The incident is as old as two years now but was indeed her best publicity stunt as it had a nobler cause behind it. She was campaigning for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the largest animal rights organisation in the world.

Rakhi commented that the governments should pay attention towards the misery of animals as well and do more to protect their rights. The atrocities committed upon them should be refrained. Rakhi was fondly supporting the Animals' Protection Act of PETA and their cause towards something good. Rakhi apparently shot to fame after the success of her hit item numbers like 'Mirchi' and 'Pardesia'. She also hit the news circuit after the infamous Mika episode and then her appearance in the Indian version of the hit European series Big Boss.

Rakhi guised as Gabbar on Nach Baliye 3!!!

Rakhi Sawant is a performer and a great dancer. So when she was performing in Nach Baliye 3 alongwith beau Abhishek, she came up with something unique. The item girl along with boyfriend Abhishek put up the Gabbar-Basanti act on Nach Baliye 3.

Rakhi herself revealed that it was not an easy task at all. It took her three hours to get into the character of Gabbar Singh. She did not brush her teeth for three days so that they looked dirty since she wanted the audience to appreciate her look. Now when needed a role reversal Abhishek also had to spend a lot of time getting ready for his look as Basanti. And then only he realised why girls take so much time to get ready.

The special guests on the show that day were John Abraham and Bipasha Basu and they enjoyed Rakhi’s Sholay act thoroughly. “Since Rakhi was Gabbar Singh, she pointed her gun at John and told him, ‘Ye Bips mujhe de de.’ And they both laughed.

Abhishek’s mother turned up on the sets of Nach Baliye for the first time to see her son’s Basanti act. It was nice to have her on the set. She had a good time, and complimented Abhishek by saying that he looked exactly like Basanti in his get-up. In that week’s episode only, for the first time, the couple was reported to have entered the danger zone.Finally, in the Grand Finale they lost, and started another controversy.

Rakhi Mika Kiss Controversy

Daler Mehndi’s brother pop singer Mika celebrated his birthday in Mumbai with close friends and celebrities in 2006. On 10 June, a Saturday night, Rakhi Sawant and Shefali Zariwala charmed the media with their sizzling poses. Mika cut the cake and performed on the occasion. The function invited trouble to Mika as Rakhi Sawant lodged an FIR with the Oshiwara police alleging that Mika forcibly kissed her at the function. The incident happened around 2am at a restaurant called “Someplace Else”.



Rakhi Sawant filed a police complaint in which she claimed that her friend was also assaulted by bodyguard and she was mollested by the pop singer. The cases filed were under sections 323 (assault) and 354 (molestation). At the party, it was Rakhi who first landed a kiss as a birthday wish and later Mika gave her a kiss back. Rakhi and Mika were seen enjoying the party and the “inappropriate” kiss at the dance floor surprised Rakhi Sawant. “He bit my lips twice and in the process my earring broke,” Rakhi Sawant told reporters. “I am an Indian woman. I will not allow a liplock - a peck on the cheek is okay.” Shefali Jariwala, the Kaanta Laga girl, a fellow item girl had this to say: “Rakhi Sawant was enjoying herself at the party. I really don’t know when the whole thing turned dramatic.” Well we do not know if these are just for publicity but its definitely interesting to see how media focuses so much on such petty matters. People love reading about these controversies, media loves covering these and these celebrities enjoy the cheap publicity so everyone seems to be enjoying !!! That’s what Rakhi is famous for…controversies and cheap publicity.

Rakhi Sawant controversy on Nach Baliye 3...!!!!

The third season of STAR property 'Nach Baliye' was aired on TV in September 2007.The property, which was showcased on Star One earlier, has been taken on a higher platform to STAR PLUS. That time, the show brought in sets of stars from the small screen but also added participants from Bollywood.The 10 celebrity pairs of the competition were:

The channel, no doubt, had plans to make news with the inclusion of Rakhi Sawant as one of the participants.

Rakhi Sawant proved the speculations right by alleging the channel for cheating by filing a criminal complaint against them. All this happened, after she lost in the finals of reality show 'Nach Baliye 3'. Rakhi, who along with beau Abhishek Awasthi lost in the final round to TV actors Sanjida Sheikh and Amir Ali, alleged in her complaint filed in the Oshiwara police station that the channel deliberately prevented her from winning the contest.

But Star Plus has rejected charges of manipulation by Rakhi and dismissed it as her publicity stunt. General Manager, Star Plus, Ketan Adyanath gave the statement that,"For us, the show was over on Saturday night. But it seems she wants to continue the show for gaining more publicity. It is a known fact that these artists make a lot of money through public performances. So more the publicity, better it is for them."

On the allegation of a faulty audience poll system, Adyanath said every time only the losing contestants complain. Nothing came out of it except publicity and that too for free.

Rakhi Sawant's Show

Zoom Television promised to telecast a distinct show titled The Rakhi Sawant's Show. The name was sufficient to reveal that it will be another show where candidness is promised, since Rakhi is??? Rakhi Sawant is all full of energy and enthusiasm to ask all sought of uncomfortable wolley of questions on her prospective guests . Moreso,she was the same chatpati, bindaas Rakhi we know, but with a new glamourised look. She flaunted a very polished look. Zoom turned her from a masses girl to a classes girl.

There are so many similar-formatted reality and talent shows being aired on the television nowadays that it becomes really difficult to differentiate one from the other. However, The Rakhi Sawant Show that premiered on Zoom Television from July 12 in 2008 onwards was indeed distinctly different! The show was particularly for those who starved for a sumptuous doze of a freshness in TV reality shows peppered with the correct iota of drama and razzmatazz in it.

The very first episode on Saturday, July 12 had Aamir gracing it. The host Rakhi Sawant talked to the actor about everything under the sun right from movies, to why SRK is considered the best, to the one physical attribute that Aamir would like to change in himself. In a
very courteous cum blunt way, Rakhi Sawantis even heard to have stated on the show that she likes Aamir's former wife 'Reena' more.'When you married the second time, I didn't like it. I like your first wife Reena more than Kiran. You both looked nice together,' Rakhi Sawant told Aamir explicitly.


When queried how she had managed to ask Aamir such uncomfortable questions, especially as he is known to snap at people in such situations, Rakhi Sawant replied, 'I believe that if you talk to
someone with love, people tell you everything.' Rakhi Sawant further explained that her intention was not to take a jab at Aamir Khan, but merely to portray the real person that he is to the audience. This, she said, was like doing a social work. She kind of carried it well
for some time and then show abruptly ended.

The show went on air for a few months and unexpectedly went off air in the mid of the session...we still miss the honesty quotient of the show that Rakhi brought in...!!!!

Rakhi's item song in 'Horn Ok Please'

Horn Ok Please is an upcoming bollywood movie directed by debutant Rakesh Sarang and produced by Sami Siddiqui.

The Starcast of new movie Horn Ok Please include the versatile actor Nana Patekar along with newcomer Muzammil Ibrahim ( Dhoka fame) and Rimi Sen.

Item girl Rakhi Sawant features in an item song which was originally scheduled to be performed by former Miss India Tanushree Dutta . However she was replaced at the last moment due to her creative and technical differences with the director and fellow actors.

Rakhee on Dus Ka Dum!!!

Sassy item girl Rakhi Sawant had macho star Salman Khan completely stumped when she unexpectedly popped the question - “Marry me!" - during the grand finale of reality television show Dus Ka Dum.Rakhi also produced a ring after asking Salman to marry her.

During the finale of the Nach Baliye 3 dance reality show in 2007, when Salman was the chief guest, Rakhi had walked away from the sets in a huff.

Rakhi had lost to Sanjeeda Sheikh and Aamir Ali in the show and stormed off the stage with her beau Abhishek Awasthi. Even though Salman followed her to pacify her, she snubbed him and drove off in her car.

Salman was apparently miffed with her after that. But considering that she was invited to his show, Salman seems to have forgiven the controversy queen.

Rakhi was on the show with comedian Shakeel Siddiqui to play the game.

'Beggar' Rakhee slapped...oops!!!
